Why Anakie homes have their own WiFi quirks.
Before anyone knows anything about a particular address, the housing stock is the best guide there is. A scattered rural community — small village core with a hall, a school, and outlying properties stretching into the Brisbane Ranges and toward the You Yangs. Construction era, wall materials and floorplan all do more to your signal than the router does, so that is where the reasoning starts. It is inference from the building stock rather than a diagnosis of your house, and the measurements on the day settle it.
What happens when we come out.
Most Anakie bookings are available inside a week. We turn up with the diagnostic kit — real gear, not the apps that come with home routers — and go through every room of your place with you. Speed-tested at the device. Written onto a drawing of your floorplan. The data is what drives the recommendations, not guesswork.
Within a day you’ll have a written report — short paragraphs, ranked recommendations, no engineer-speak. The honest answer sometimes is “don’t spend any money” and we’ll happily make that call when it’s right.
What we won’t do.
No upselling, no monthly subscriptions, no replacement-router-for-the-sake-of-it. The cabinet’s full of mesh kits, but most of the time we leave them in the cabinet — your existing gear is usually fine, it just needs to be set up properly. We’d rather walk away with a $199 fee than walk away with an $800 sale you didn’t need.
