Our WiFi assessment is $199, GST included. Nothing to pay when you book. You pay on the day.
A Why Oh WiFi assessment costs $199 including GST. One flat price for every home across Geelong, the Surf Coast, the Bellarine, Golden Plains and the Colac and Otways. No travel surcharge, no call-out fee, no hourly rate, and no card surcharge.
That $199 covers about 90 minutes on site, a room-by-room survey of the whole home, real speed tests at every device location, and a written plain-English report within 24 hours. If the recommended hardware is bought through us, the installation labour is covered by the $199 you have already paid, so the install invoice is hardware only. Whole-home networks, mesh systems and business work are quoted in writing after we have measured.

The same visit whether the house is a two-bedroom unit in Belmont or a five-bedroom place on acreage at Mount Duneed. The work does not change, so neither does the price.

What the $199 does not cover

You never get an invoice for work you have not already agreed to in writing.

Assessments are a flat price. Installation work is measured first and quoted second, because the honest number depends on the building.

Why installation work is quoted, not listed.
A designed whole-home network depends on things nobody can see from a website: how the house is built, where the incoming connection lands, whether there is roof access, how many access points the floorplan actually needs, and whether cable can be run without opening a wall. Publishing a number before measuring any of that would be a guess, and you would be the one paying for it being wrong.
So the sequence is always the same. The $199 assessment measures the home. The report tells you what it needs and why. Then you get a fixed written quote, and nothing is ordered or installed until you have said yes to it.

Is the $199 including GST? +
Yes. $199 is the total, GST included, and it is the figure on your tax invoice. There is nothing added on top for GST, travel or a call-out.
Do I pay anything when I book? +
No. Booking costs nothing. You pay the $199 on the day, after the visit, once you have seen what was measured. Rescheduling is free with 24 hours’ notice.
How can I pay, and is there a card surcharge? +
Card, bank transfer or cash, whichever suits you. There is no card surcharge. You get a tax invoice from Why Oh WiFi Pty Ltd, ABN 93 700 631 974, either way.
Do you charge extra to travel to Torquay, Ocean Grove or Winchelsea? +
No. The $199 is flat across Geelong, the Surf Coast, the Bellarine Peninsula, Golden Plains and the Colac and Otways region. Travel is already in the price.
What if you find nothing wrong? +
You still get the measurements and the written report, which is the honest answer that your WiFi is doing what it should and the money belongs somewhere else. That is a useful result, and we say so.
How much does it cost to fix the problem once you have found it? +
It depends on what the measurements show, so we do not publish a figure we would have to walk back. You get a fixed written quote after the assessment, before anything is ordered or installed. No hourly rate.
Does the $199 come off the cost of an install? +
Yes. Where the recommended hardware is bought through us, the $199 you have already paid covers the installation labour, so the install invoice is hardware only.
