When the problem is signal geometry, a crowded channel, or a modem sitting inside a cabinet, none of those three help. People end up several hundred dollars down with the same dead spot. We walk the whole house and measure it
Room by room, including the spots you actually use: the study, the back bedroom, the deck, the shed. We record signal strength and real throughput at each point with professional survey tools, not a free phone app that guesses.
We build a coverage heat map
The heat map is a colour picture of your home showing where the signal is strong, where it fades, and where it stops. It turns an argument about whether the WiFi is bad into a picture you can point at.
We test the connection itself, separately
Your internet connection and your WiFi are two different things, and blaming the wrong one costs people money. We measure the connection coming into the house first, then measure what the WiFi is actually delivering to your devices. If the fault is with your provider, we say so, and we give you the numbers to prove it.
We check what is fighting your network
Neighbouring networks on the same channel, a router set to a channel width that is too wide for a crowded street, a modem stuck in a cupboard behind a mirror, an old device dragging the whole band down. These are the causes we find most often, and most of them cost nothing to fix.
We explain it, in plain English, on the day
Before we leave, you get the verbal version: what is wrong, why it is wrong, and what your options are. Cause and effect, not jargon. If we use a technical word we explain it on the spot.
You get a written report
The written report follows, with the heat map, the room by room numbers, and clear recommendations ranked from cheapest to most expensive. It is yours to keep, and it is written so you can act on it without us.

How much does a WiFi assessment cost in Geelong? +
$149 flat. That covers the on-site visit, the heat map, the testing and the written report, anywhere in Geelong, the Surf Coast, the Bellarine, Golden Plains, and the Colac and Otways region. There is no separate call-out fee. If you go on to buy hardware through us, the $149 covers the install labour.
What actually happens during a WiFi assessment? +
We walk the whole house with survey gear, measure signal and speed in every room, test your incoming connection separately, look at what your neighbours' networks are doing to yours, and then explain what we found before we leave. A written report with the heat map and the recommendations follows.
How long does it take? +
Allow around 90 minutes on site for a typical home. Bigger homes, double storey homes and properties with sheds or studios take a little longer. You do not need to do anything to prepare beyond being home and knowing which rooms give you grief.
Will you just try to sell me a new router? +
No. A large share of the homes we assess do not need new hardware at all, they need the gear they already own set up correctly. If new hardware genuinely is the answer, you get a fixed quote before any work starts, and you are free to buy it elsewhere.
Do I need an assessment, or can you just fix it? +
The assessment is the fix in a lot of cases. We correct what we find on the day where it is safe and sensible to do so. What the assessment prevents is guessing, which is how people end up with three mesh nodes in the wrong rooms and the same dead spot they started with.
