WiFi installer in Little River.

Little River is practically Geelong, whatever the council maps say. The town straddles the Greater Geelong and Wyndham boundary, and yes, we come to you. It is about 35 minutes up the freeway from our Mount Duneed base, and travel is included in the flat fee. The bit that matters for your internet: the whole township is on nbn Fixed Wireless, not fixed-line, so antenna placement and in-home WiFi design do all the heavy lifting.

Sound like your place?

$149 flat assessment in Little River. We come to you, measure properly, and leave you with a written report and an honest answer.

Every Little River property is its own diagnostic puzzle. We measure first, then recommend, never the other way round.

Why Little River blocks have their own WiFi quirks.

This is a town famous enough to have a rock band named after its road sign, and small enough that the whole place runs on one internet technology. Everything here is nbn Fixed Wireless: the older weatherboard and brick homes around the station and the pub, the lifestyle blocks along You Yangs Road, the working farms beyond. With Fixed Wireless, the antenna on your roof sets the ceiling and the WiFi inside the house decides how much of it you actually get. On a big block, the distance from the house to the shed usually decides the rest. And when the antenna simply cannot see the tower, our Starlink guide for the Geelong region is the comparison worth reading.

What happens when we come out.

Little River is about 35 minutes from our Mount Duneed base, straight up the freeway, and we will say that plainly rather than pretend it is around the corner. Travel is still included in the flat $149, whichever side of the Geelong-Wyndham boundary you are on. The visit takes about 90 minutes: heat maps in every room (and out to the shed if the shed matters to you), real speed numbers at every spot you use the internet, and a clear-eyed look at the antenna and the gear you already own.

You get a written report inside 24 hours. Plain English, prioritised recommendations, and a straight answer on whether the Fixed Wireless link or the in-home WiFi is the problem. If the answer is “do not spend money”, that is what we will tell you.

Things we won’t try to sell you.

No monthly fee, no subscription, no gear you do not need. On Fixed Wireless a louder router fixes nothing if the link itself is the constraint, and we would rather prove which layer is broken than guess at your expense.

We cover all of Little River (3211), both the Greater Geelong and Wyndham sides, with no travel fee inside the Geelong, Surf Coast, Bellarine, Golden Plains and Colac & Otways patch.

Common questions about Little River WiFi

What people in Little River usually ask.

Do you actually come out to Little River? Half of it is technically Wyndham.+

Yes. Little River is practically Geelong, and the council boundary running through town makes no difference to us. It is about a 35 minute drive from our Mount Duneed base, the travel is included in the flat $149, and there is no surcharge for being on the Werribee side of the line.

There is no fixed-line nbn in Little River. What are my options?+

We checked the nbn database address by address through the township in July 2026: it is Fixed Wireless everywhere we looked, including River, Regent and Rothwell Streets, with no fixed-line upgrade planned. That makes two things matter enormously: where the Fixed Wireless antenna sits on your roof, and how the WiFi is designed inside the house. Outlying farmland beyond tower reach falls back to Sky Muster satellite.

Why is my Fixed Wireless so slow on my Little River block?+

Two separate suspects, and we test both. The Fixed Wireless link itself depends on line-of-sight to the tower and antenna placement. The WiFi inside your house is a completely different system, and on a big block it is usually the WiFi that gives out first, especially between the house and the shed. The $149 assessment measures each layer so you fix the one that is actually broken.

Connections we typically see in Little River

  • NBN Fixed Wireless (all major retailers)
  • Sky Muster satellite (outlying farmland)

Common WiFi issues we see in Little River (engineer-speak)

  • Fixed Wireless needs clean line-of-sight to the tower, so the antenna's position on your roof sets your speed ceiling before the router gets a say.
  • Acreage blocks where the shed, the stables or the pump are a hundred metres past where the WiFi gives up.
  • No fixed-line nbn anywhere in the township, so a poorly placed router wastes the only connection you can get.
  • Outlying properties beyond Fixed Wireless reach fall back to Sky Muster satellite, which changes what is worth fixing and how.
