Why Moriac homes have their own WiFi quirks.
Moriac grew up around the railway and the general store, and these days it is a satellite village of Geelong with a primary school, young families and new streets on the town edge. What has not changed is the internet: there is no fixed-line nbn here. Every address we checked, brand-new builds included, is served by nbn Fixed Wireless, so your connection arrives by radio at the roof and everything after that antenna is what we fix. Add lifestyle blocks with sheds and workshops that want coverage too, and Moriac has a very specific local pattern of WiFi problems.
What happens when we come out.
Moriac is about 25 minutes from central Geelong, so most bookings happen the same week. We turn up with the diagnostic kit, real gear rather than phone apps, and go through the place with you: heat maps across the floorplan, speed tests at the antenna and at every spot you actually use the internet, and a straight look at whether your existing gear is up to it.
Within a day you get a written report in plain English with ranked recommendations. If the honest answer is that the Fixed Wireless service is the limit and no router will change that, we say so, along with what Starlink or a different antenna setup would genuinely buy you. What we won’t do.
No upselling, no monthly subscriptions, no replacement router for the sake of it. Most of the time the gear you own is fine and just needs to be set up properly, and telling you that is part of the job. We would rather leave with the $149 fee than an $800 sale you did not need.
