WiFi at a Ceres address is a different job from WiFi in a Highton townhouse ten minutes down the hill. Stone walls, radio internet and buildings spread across acreage each need their own answer, and we measure all three before recommending anything.
Why Ceres homes have their own WiFi quirks.
You can usually predict a good deal about the WiFi from the house, and around here that means reasoning from the building stock before we measure anything. Premium acreage and hobby farms across the Barrabool Hills: 19th-century Barrabool sandstone homesteads, renovated farmhouses, and newer architect builds on big view blocks. The sandstone in particular does more to your signal than any router setting ever will, and on Fixed Wireless the antenna placement decides your speed before the WiFi even starts. On blocks where the tower line-of-sight is genuinely hopeless, Starlink is often the honest alternative, and we will say so.
What happens when we come out.
Most Ceres appointments are available inside a week. The visit takes about 90 minutes: heat maps in every room (and the shed, if the shed matters to you), real speed numbers at every spot you actually use the internet, and a clear-eyed look at the gear you’ve already got.
Within a day you’ll have a written report in plain English with prioritised recommendations. If the answer is “you don’t need to spend money”, that’s what we’ll tell you. We’d rather lose a sale than oversell.
