Breamlea is one of the smallest places on our patch: 151 permanent residents, 66 occupied homes on census night, and a hamlet of holiday houses folded between Thompson Creek and the dunes, halfway between Barwon Heads and Torquay. Small does not mean simple. Internet in a Fixed Wireless coastal town has its own set of rules.

The defining fact for Breamlea internet is that there is no fixed line to the kerb. Every address we checked on the nbn rollout data is served by Fixed Wireless from the Mt Duneed serving area, and no fibre upgrade is planned. Your connection comes off a tower, through an antenna on your roof, and everything downstream of that antenna depends on how well it was installed, where it points, and whether anyone has looked at it since. We routinely find antennas that were fine when installed and have quietly degraded, or plans that predate the faster FW Home Fast tier that is now orderable at addresses here.
The second fact is the holiday-house ratio. About 4 in 10 Breamlea dwellings were empty on 2021 census night, and a holiday house has to work on the weekends and summer weeks it is actually used, with nobody on site the rest of the year to notice a dead router. The setups we build for houses like this are designed around remote visibility: check the connection from home, reboot from your phone, and run a guest network that visitors cannot break.

Breamlea housing is timber shacks and holiday houses, many of them extended a room at a time over decades. Long, low floorplans with the router at one end are a classic recipe for a dead back bedroom, and salt air is genuinely hard on any external antenna, mount and cable run. We check the whole chain, from the tower signal at the antenna to the WiFi at the far end of the deck.

We are about 17 minutes away, straight down Blackgate Road, so Breamlea bookings usually land inside the week. The visit takes around 90 minutes: heat maps of the house, real speed tests at the antenna and in every room, and a clear separation of what is a Fixed Wireless problem versus a WiFi problem. Written report within a day, plain English, ranked recommendations.
What we won’t do.
We will not sell you a mesh kit to fix an antenna problem, and we will not recommend Starlink before measuring what the Fixed Wireless at your address actually delivers.
