WiFi networks in the house 3 to 1

A country home on Starlink, with next to no mobile coverage. Now calls and messages work anywhere the WiFi reaches, inside and out.

Rural homeowner Geelong region
Before: a wall shelf buried in loose cable, with an old office phone system underneath, its cover off and circuit board showing. After: a black network cabinet with short blue and black leads running neatly from numbered ports to a single switch.
The same job, as we found it and as we left it.
  1. What we found

Three routers, each with its own WiFi, an old phone system with its cover off, and a far bedroom with no usable WiFi.

A power board hanging in mid-air by its own lead, with plug packs, a second power board and a tangle of white, yellow and blue cable below it

  2. What we did

Thick stone stops WiFi, so each WiFi point got its own cable back to one new cabinet. We moved the house across a cable at a time, so nobody lost internet.

  3. The result

One WiFi name, house to deck. The far bedroom is now one of the strongest rooms.

Calls and messages anywhere on the property

Mobile coverage out here is close to none. Starlink brings in a great connection, and the WiFi now carries it through every room and out to the deck, the courtyard and down the front path. With WiFi Calling on, phones call and text anywhere the WiFi reaches.
